  1. I had this same thing happen to me when I first began looking for a job. I staged (working for free) at an italian restaurant called Bricco Bracco. The chef said he was interested in hiring me and I kept calling for about a month. I finally just gave up, I have always wondered if he maybe was sexist though. All of his kitchen employees were guys, one of them was a culinary student from my class.

  2. Awesome job!! I tried making macarons a few times and failed – miserably. I really need to give it another go, because they always looks so awesome and fun! I will have to give this recipe a try, maybe! :)

  3. What they did was very cruel and I am sure they will pay for it. The hazelnut buttercream idea seems awesome!! Your macarons also look amazing.

  4. Your macarons, however, look delicious.
I don’t bake, but I do enjoy dessert!

  6. Do you peel the hazelnuts first?

  7. This is my first time here and I just read your bio…you are an amazing young man! I’ve been wanting to make macarons for a while now, but I keep putting it off…I’m so intimidated! Yours are gorgeous and I love the flavors of hazelnut and chocolate! OK…so I plan to tackle the macaron very soon and I will send you proof! :)
